Since working at home is  appealing, false job offers  always pop up on the internet. Some typical work at home scams are the obvious ones, like envelope stuffing jobs.

Work at home scams come in many forms. Most of the bogus online companies do not guarantee regular salaried employment for the home based workers it employs. They also do not point out how many hours you would need to work without geting compensated. Some of the others require you to spend a lot of money on instructions before getting the job. Some of those organizations also require paid training. Therefore work at home scams cost it's affected individuals thousands of dollars and also very valuable time.

In order to not become a victim of work at home con artists, you need to study the company before accepting any work at home offer. In fact the legitimate companies supply all of there information in writing. Here are some good tips to try and avoid work at home scams:

1. If you need to present some personal information, avoid giving it to any unidentified person or company. Provide individual information only to the company that you confirm is legitimate.

2. You can examine the company by typing in the name of the company in the search box of Better business Bureau. If there is any complaint about that business, avoid contact with it.

3. There is no effortless road to wealth. Any occupation requires some work and effort to earn significantly better income. Therefore be mindful of companies that promise to make you rich immediately, there is no such thing as magic push button riches.

Reshipping fraud is becoming one of the typical work at home scam. In this particular type of job, the home based worker needs to obtain, repack and then mail the goods to a foreign address. They are promised a significant amount of money. But the worker may not understand that the merchandise was paid for with stolen credit cards.

The home based worker would in that case become a part of receiving and mailing of stolen goods without their knowledge. The worker receives the merchandize, repackages with their own money and advised it will be repaid at time of pay day, it gets even worst!

They are then informed, their pay will be via cashier's check, but oddly it's for more then due. The worker is instructed to deposit the check and send the difference to the employer's international bank account. Eventually, the cashier's check bounces and they owe their bank the amount of the whole check.

If you want to choose a legitimate work at home job, then do not agree to any job offer that promises to provide high income for a part time job. Some companies would guarantee you get rich quick scams. Remember only hard work and commitment can help you earn a good income from home.

If you are asked to pay for start up kits, then do not send money to such companies. Legitimate companies do not cost anything to hire you. If you are not sure about the legitimacy of a company, then ask for references.

If the company is not willing to provide references, then beware!
